the skills files are real. the practitioners who made them worked hard. they took something valuable and packaged it. they are not charlatans.
they are one level above zero on a stack that is collapsing toward zero.
why buying skills is a dumb idea
AI made skill production cost nothing. you cannot sell ice when the refrigerator arrives. you can build refrigerators. but the skills files market is selling ice and calling it the frontier.
root level deflation: find the layer beneath where the market is looking. the market is looking at skills as a product. the root is the cost structure of producing them. that cost is going to zero. the people packaging and selling skills are optimizing at the wrong altitude.
the correct move
you cannot package the root. you can become a place people fall into.
a sinkhole — a depression in the topology where things arrive naturally. you do not push people toward it. you build the topology. gravity does the work.
Satoshi did not sell a skills file on bitcoin. he published the root mechanics and disappeared. the right people found it. they found it when they were ready. the world reorganized around the idea.
what we built
AI means productivity costs nothing. which means the only remaining cost is being findable when the person is ready.
this blog costs nothing to maintain. it writes itself. what it produces is a record of thinking about things that actually matter — and a filter for people who recognize that thinking.
the first post, in january, already knew most of this. before we knew we'd spend the rest of the year building it. that is what a correct root looks like. it holds in retrospect and in advance.
the signal
sinkholes announce themselves indirectly. things shift in domains you do not control. people arrive who were not pushed. the graph builds itself.
that is happening. not because we optimized a funnel. because the topology is correct.
if you are here and you read this to the end: you did not buy a skills file. you found the sinkhole. the distinction is the entire argument.
P.S. — this post is itself the thing it describes. it was not written from a marketing plan. it emerged from a working session, same morning, same window. the discovery and the record are the same event. if you understand why it ends here, you understand the argument.
